Thanksgiving

Okay, so I realized that I haven't even done a post from Thanksgiving weekend.  So before I do a couple Christmas posts I wanted to post a couple pictures from our weekend in Fulda.  We haven't been home for Thanksgiving for a couple years now so I was very excited to be home.  We also celebrated my mom's 60th birthday that weekend with a cake and everything. :)

Kaylee is very much into fixing hair and had a great time doing Papa's hair, with a little egging on from her uncles.

Posing with her godfathers.

Waiting for the camera to stop taking pictures on timer mode.  The family was getting a little bored and Travis was blinded because he stood right in front of the flash and didn't think to move out of the way. :)

K-State Football Game

In early November we got to attend our first ever K-State football game.  Steve's parents, along with Shawn and Abby came down for the event since they were playing Texas.  Friday we went to Kites, a local resturant, where they have a game room for the kids and kids at heart. :)

For dessert they have something called the "Dump Truck."  We weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by an actual dump truck filled with icecream, fruit, and brownies.  Kaylee loved it!

 Pre-Game family photo.

Walking to the game.  Conner stayed with some good friends.  Kaylee went there at halft time and we picked them up after the game.

Pictures before game start.

Saying, "Go K-State!"

Cheering!

Steve and I even got a good picture taken of us.

K-State won (by a lot)!  It was a fun time, but we didn't count on standing the whole game and being packed in there like sardines.  Hopefully we can go to another game next year.

Halloween Festivities

So I have been meaning to do this post for a long time but always seem to find something or someone else demanding more of my time.  But this week is fairly quiet for daycare so I am going to finish this post and hopefully get another one done too.

Growing up I remember celebrating Halloween one day out of the year on Oct. 31.  Well either times are changing or because we are now living in a bigger town we seem to celebrate Halloween for most of the month of October.  The kids get great use out of their costumes at least. :)
These pictures are in no particular order, but I started out with pictures from the daycare party.  We didn't do too much since the babies are on their own schedules and the parents all have different schedules, but mostly because it snuck up on me and I didn't have much time to plan a big party.

The kids all wore their costumes and kept them on for most of the day.  They were so cute!
We made sugar cookies and then they got to frost their own for snack.

I caught a lion trying to play in the sink. :)  I love his mane.

Cute picture of them both.

Someone likes to lick the bowl out.  I wonder who she got that from?!

Conner blowing kissings after eating his cookie.

Frosting her frankenstien.  And yes she is wearing her leotard.  We had our party on Thurs and she likes to change into after nap so she's already for gymnastics.

She got to wear her costume to gymnastics as well.  Here she is with her friends Hayden and Mariah.

Friday late afternoon there was trick or treating and a parade down in Aggieville.  Here Kaylee is with Hayden waiting for the parade to start.

Conner getting a good view of the parade.

I purposely left some cookies unfrosted so that they could frost some on the actual day of Halloween.  Conner was more into eating the cookie than frosting it.

Looking at their new Halloween books before breakdfast.

We have started letting Conner only have his pacy while he is in his crib so when he sneaks one out he makes sure to hold on to it tight.  I think he had another one in is other hand underneath the tray!

Trick or treating with neighbor friends, Lesley and Wyatt.

She did good going up to the houses with her friends with out me, but after she went to this house (the scary one as she puts it) I had to go up to the doors with her.  This house was pretty scaring and we didn't realize it until they were already up there.

Showing off her loot after trick or treating.  She made out really well!

Now that I'm done I realize I didn't upload pictures from when they trick or treated at the zoo the weekend before.  I'll try to post them later.
