Kaylee's Blessing

Look at that beautiful girl!!!!  On April 17th Steve and I were fortunate to say a blessing over her in front of God.

The day didn't go as planned, well because, Steve got sick in the car on the way there!  He toughed it out long enough to stand up in front and say this wonderful blessing over our daughter.  She was so excited to decorate her worship box and receive a glow in the dark cross.

After the blessing, Kaylee got to pick where we got to eat for lunch, of course she chose McDonalds.  Steve didn't eat, but the rest of us enjoyed it! :)  We had to hurry through lunch so we could make it in time for the Easter Egg hunt at K-State.  That night Steve and I also had a special gift for Kaylee for her special day.

Opening her gift

Her very own special picture Bible.

Posing with her worship box and Bible.

Overall we had a great day and we hope it was a very special day for Kaylee.  We read a story from her Bible every night and then talk about the story and say a prayer.  She is very excited learning about all the stories in the bible and asks many questions.

Dairy Farm Tour

A couple weekends ago a local dairy farm had an open house.  We decided to take the kids over there for something different to do and for them to see all the cows.  The gave us a little tour of their milking facility, the cows, and the baby calves.  Conner loved pointing to the cows and saying "moo".  Kaylee got to make butter by shaking cream in a baby food jar.  The first jar dropped on the floor and she got very upset.  But the ladies gave her a new one to shake.  We had to shake it for about a half hour to make butter!  We also got to taste three different kinds of milk, cheese, and ice cream that the farm makes themselves.  All in all it was a fun morning doing something out of the ordinary.

In the car on the way there.

Saying, "Mooo"

They also had a huge hay bale pile for the kids to climb on.  Kaylee had fun, but Conner didn't care for touching the itchy hay!

Watching a cartoon after a long, long day of fun with no naps!

After the dairy farm tour we had Sadie's 1st birthday party to attend.  Steve and I were hoping the kids would sleep in the car on the way there since it was about a 45 minute drive from the farm to the bday party.  But since neither of our kids sleep in the car, naps didn't happen that day.  Needless to say they went to bed early that night, but they both did really well and there were no major meltdowns!
