Kaylee started ice skating lessons the first Saturday in Januray and this coming Saturday will be her last lesson. She impressed her teacher the first day by having such good balance, thanks to gymnastics! It is amazing at how fast kids can catch on to something new. She no longer needs to hang onto the wall and can skate back and forth across the middle of the rink. When she falls down she can get up by herself, and is working on gliding across the ice instead of stepping. Here are some pictures of her first day of practice. Will have to remember the camera tomorrow so I can record how much progress she has made.
Getting a little braver.
She has also started back up doing gymnastics. She is in the same class as last year and hopefully after this time she can move up to the big equipment. She still really enjoys it and is progressing in her skills. Her cartwheels are getting better and she can now do backwards sommersaults.
Here she is her first night back after break. It was also the same time that she had the class pet to take care of during the weekend. A bird named Rainbow.
Kaylee was also excited to go back to preschool after the break. They are learning how to tell time already and counting by fives. She tells us what time it is every chance she gets. She is definetly ready for kindergarten, I don't think I am though.
